The Gizmo Cafe blog is pleased to announce that we now have Stan Eisenberg as a contributor. Stan offers authority in just about every aspect of audio / video engineering. He contributes to us from his electronics laboratory powered by the static charge of his Tesla Coil array located in a remote corner of Michigan State University in East Lansing MI. Go Spartans!
Stan’s background is in software development for A/V systems including automated Home Theater applications. In short, he writes the software that turns your house into a smart media center. He's got a computer sciences degree from MSU and has worked with NVidia and Marantz.
So, when Skynet’s AI system becomes self aware, unleashing a Singularity event that takes over your kitchen, you can blame Stan. Just keep your psycho moms and reprogrammed T-800 units away from him for the time being - we need more content.
Stan is the lead designer and founder of Binary Metal, a control and automation software application for your home, Home Theater and computer based media systems. It’s guys like Stan Eisenberg, Gene DellaSala and Clint DeBoer that really help educate and influence me in the finer points of technology whenever it strays just outside my understanding. They are the authority I will often quote in much of my own writing. I am thrilled to have Stan directly contributing to the blog. You can find all his posts at any time by using the Stan “filter”,so you can see Stan’s complete work on the blog.
Look for Stan’s first contribution in his own corner of the GizmoCafe blog due up as soon as I can get it made. His first article is literally the word on HDCP compliance and what it means to your next HDTV purchase.
