Fastest Blu-ray Burner Yet; Super Multi Blue

Korea's LG presents a trio of Asian babes in blue. Oh, yeah, and they also unveiled the fastest Blu-ray burner yet. It's called LG GBW-H10N Super Multi Blue. It's capable of Blu-ray write speeds of a blistering 18Mbps, which is 4X to you and me. The rest of the world is still only burning BD at a measly 2X - like I have that kind of time to waste backing up my files.

The GBW-H10N Super Multi Blue lives up to the multi in the form of the multiple formats it can burn, including CD and DVD, as well as Blu-ray. LG will be releasing the Blu-ray player, also shown in the image with three ladies. Not much detail on the upcoming Blu-ray player, but I'll be sure to hold out to see if LG can make good on its promise to release a Blu-ray - HD DVD combo player this winter.

HD.  Blu-ray.  Neither are ready for the consumer market yet.  Most people don't even have conventional DVD Burners in their computers yet.  Sure, the technology is impressive, but someone give me a solid reason why I should even consider buying into the hype at this point.  The functionality doesn't match the price point.
