PS3 Hands on Results ... Coming Later Today, I Promise!
It's been a wild few days since the PS3 was released. The keymasters at GizmoCafe managed to get my fidgety, caffeine-addled fingers on one of Sony's new game systems and I've been a runaway train ever since. Sleep? In the words of Tony Soprano: Forget about it! I have been furiously playing, buying support pieces and returning a few and then writing. I've got over 3000 words into a comparison between PS3 and Xbox360 coming up soon. I realize most consumer tech writers are doing straight PlayStation3 reviews, and that's one way of doing it. But let's face it – we want to know exactly how it stacks up against the Xbox360 in a head to head match, and I believe this article will deliver.
Oh, and there is even a video coming. Some of the guys (Osmon and Ryan) went out into the field with a camera and err… not beer … to shoot video of the PS3 campers at the local big box stores. I think they had fun!
So, what did I think of the PS3? It has lots of technology that's for sure. But as much as I harp on Sony and believed the PS3 was going to be this unwieldy monstrosity, I am pleasantly surprised with the completed package. Stop by later today for the final verdict.
