Another major console release has come and gone already. How time flies! It seems like only yesterday I was standing out in the cold wishing I could get my hands on Microsoft's gaming machine. Here are some highlights of the area's PS3 release madness.

I saw some Wii fans waiting outside Wal-Mart last Saturday night.  There were four of them.  I yelled, "Buy a 360!"  I received the middle finger.

I wonder how many of those people in line were even able to get one at launch. And I have to admit being able to sell it online for twice what you paid is pretty tempting.

BTW that is one shiny PS3, did it come like that or did you give it a good polish?

Those guys seem a little nutz.
I saw people lining up outside of the Waterloo FutureShop days before.  I actually found it pretty amusing.  No matter what they sold it for was it really worth it?
I guess they thought it was.

You're all insane. It's JUST A GAMING CONSOLE. And anyone selling a stinking PS3 on Ebay at Chrsitmas is insalnely opporunistic. Assholes.

  Ebay has 754 PS3 auctions up right now. I quickly checked the 24 auctions which are ending shortly and it appeared they all had buyers ranging from $700-1500.

Wow,

I was once a huge gamer, I spent countless hours mastering Hot Shots Golf, Tombraider and Oddworld. To sit outside for hours on end to simply sell the system for profit... Oh wait, student loans, credit card, car loan...

I have to admit, I admire their entrepreneurial spirit. Why not capatilize on the latest buzz. 75% profit is a pretty good short term investment.

Where's my toque?!
