Nintendo Gameboy, grizzled veteran of Gulf War and still playing

I found this story originally on Gizmodo where they linked to it from the TechBlog. This Nintendo Gameboy was damaged in the original Gulf War but still works. There is even video proof below showing it fully functional.

They don’t make portable gadgets like they used to. I remember back in the day you could take your Gameboy to war, leave it in an Iraqi hidey hole for a decade and a half and it still worked. Nowadays you’re lucky to get a year and a half out of your iPod before you have to send it back to Apple for a battery replacement. Try that with any of those fancy-schmanzy solid state drive based gadgets.
