I think if you average out what vgcharts and nexgenwars say and maybe a couple more legitimate websites, you'll probably get the most accurate data for console sales.  But I think both vgcharts and nexgen have the same legitimacy since they are both close in numbers and there are no "real" numbers that anybody has.  If nexgen has conducted a lot of hours of research and set a certain timer to add 1 console every so often it could be very accurate, and I believe whoever does these changes, changes the rate quite often since the numbers seem to jump every so often - obviously indicating that some research has been done recently.

VG charts is an organisation that takes data for all games and consoles. They are much more accurate. Nexgenwars just makes an estimate for each second and then they just let thier computer add a certain amount to each console every second.

nexgenwars isn't that accurate. Their numbers have been consistently off. www.vgcharts.org has much more accurate "estimations" for the consoles.
