No glove, no love.  I don’t know about you, but if there’s one thing about cell phones I value, it’s safety.  That’s exactly what Skins is all about, offering “Mobile Protection” for cellular devices.  The company assures those interested that the product exists to prevent dirt and the like from wrecking your expensive communications hardware.  But, we all know it’s been invented for the noble cause of preventing cellularly transmitted diseases.

If you’re concerned about your cell phone getting “water, dirt, mud, paint, sweat, blood” or snow on it, a 3 pack of Skins is your answer.  Wait a second…blood?  As Jerry Seinfeld once quipped in a tirade on Tide stains, maybe you should get the harpoon out of your chest first. 

The most practical use for Skins may be protection against water, be it at the beach, in the rain, or perhaps during an impromptu swimming-with-the-sharks seminar.  Why not?  Skins protect against water and blood, after all.

Skins, available for $6.99, were one of the more chuckle-worthy products showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show last week.  Attendees could learn about Mobile Protection from a group of lovely ladies showcasing the product while lounging in a hot tub. 

Let’s face it, when surrounded by hotties in bubbling water, you’ll want to practice safe cell.  My only question is: do they have them in extra large?  Let’s just say I’ve got a Zack Morris-inspired "phone".
