LG Phones with YouTube Pipeline - Now Show the World Your Donut Eating Prowess

If it’s not enough that Krispy Kreme makes a donut flavor milk shake soon you’ll be able to edit and upload video to YouTube directly from your LG handset!

LG Electronics YouTube handsets are set to hit the market in Europe by the end of the year. These new cell phones will let you record, edit video and upload files directly to YouTube without the need of an intermediary device. The linked article to the Cell Freak explains why the idea isn't going to take the cell phone world by storm.

Why do I need a Cell Phone to Upload Video to YouTube?

Let’s say you just won a Krispy Kreme donut eating contest and you’ve captured it on your phone. If that’s an LG / YouTube phone you’re toting you needn’t suffer the indignation of having to wait to process and upload that video the new LG phone can let you do it right off the phone. Now you can demonstrate your donut eating prowess over YouTube almost immediately. It's important to be able to get video right up to YouTube while you're in the field. Forget about those GSM network charges and the heavy bandwidth of video... you just won a Krispy Kreme Donut eating contest man!

The contract between LG and YouTube is exclusive so it won’t allow users to share video on other video sites like Pandora. LG said in its statement: "LG Electronics will unveil the mobile handset that fully supports the YouTube service for the first time in Europe in the second half of this year."

Estimates put YouTube popularity at about 70,000 posts and more than 100 million people visiting every day to share in this bandwidth utopia. The YouTube is now owned by The Google in a deal last year that set Google back 1.65 Billion for the pleasure of letting folks share Krispy Kreme donut eating contests on video. We all love Google! But few cell phone companies love Google more than LG. LG is the considered the fifth largest cell phone manufacturer and has had a relationship with Google for some time. Some LG phones have Google built right in for integration to Google Search, Mail and Maps.
