300 on HD DVD!

300 on HD DVD! It's out there, NOW.

The only thing on my mind is viewing all special features (many of which are in HD), testing the HD DVD - exclusive feature called "Pick Your Favorite Scenes" and having a complete review prepared tomorrow.

That is if I'm able to keep my head and limbs intact. Hey, those Spartans are a tough crowd.

The Home Theater WORLD is all about this HD DVD release.

My son and I spent most of last night going through all the extras on this disc.

Its amazing how much additional content, extras, features, and functionality was all able to fit on this single disc.

HD DVD is the only high def format that has the ability and has provided so much functionality to the consumers on a single disc. This interactive functionality on HD DVD is truly superior to anything on the market!

There is hours upon hours of additional content.

The Pick your favorite scenes allows you to make your own video out of parts of the movie. You can then save your video, transfer it to memory stick or computer or even send it directly to any friends HD DVD player thru email.

There is an interactive game that can be played with the remote control

Deleted scenes

Picture and Picture features that allow you to watch the actual movie and next to it the making of the movie with a blue screen for the entire movie.

Webisodes

Not sure what this is, we ran out of time in a single night to see all of the features and will make a weekend of it this coming weekend...

Internet Interactivity

The extras even have the ability to connect directly to the internet and interact with it for yet even more content beyond what fits on the limitations of a disc. This is truly the next level of technology having home media interact with the internet

Chooses gave options for viewing and downloading wallpaper. Live time movie previews.

And it even had the FIRST live interactive home media spam that allowed the user to make purchases of movie ring tones right from the movie itself.

As annoying as computer spam currently is, I was pretty excited to be part of the FIRST of it with this new technology.

This movie is a collectors piece for the extras itself!

HD DVD players are currently around $225 and this movie alone makes it worth the purchase.

Fear not, even if you are not ready to purchase an HD DVD player yet, this movie has a complete second version of the movie on the other side of the disc that allows the movie to be played in any regular DVD player.

Just to clarify; the ability for the one movie disc to be played in both regular dvd players and HD DVD players are called 'HD DVD COMBO' discs. This is exclusive to HD DVD (not blu-ray) and is only available on HD DVD movies that clearly state the word COMBO on it also these combo titles are usually slight more in price for the extra movie .
