World of WarCraft and StarCraft II Take Center Stage at BlizzCon 2007

Where in Azeroth can the World of WarCraft expand to next? Attendees at the second-ever Blizzard Entertainment Convention will find out first hand.

Doors opened on the two day event in Anaheim, California this morning. Attendees will be treated to some of Blizzard juiciest games announcements and rumors are swirling across the web.

BlizzCon ’07 will feature info and events pertaining to its hit Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing game (MMORPG or just MMO for short) World of WarCraft. It’s expected that Blizzard will announce the next expansion for the game.

A top WoW site speculates on the direction the game could take. WoW addicts could find themselves upgrading to Emerald Dream or possibly the next step for gamers rests in Northrend.

Another hot Blizzard property will also make an appearance ─ StarCraft II. It’s the most anticipated real-time strategy game since WarCraft III Frozen Throne. StarCraft II brings WarCraft’s balance and strategy to a science-fiction universe. Attendees of the big event will be the first to play the unreleased game.

Sadly, not all of us can go pick up our very own goodie bag from Blizz - it’s enough to make this veteran of WarCraft since it's first incarnation run away to a remote cottage for three days. But if you happen to be in front of a computer longing to be in Anaheim this weekend, Giga.de has graciously volunteered to broadcast the event live online.

Here’s where you can go, if you want to watch other people having all the fun.
