Is it really a Chuvash word that means “talking for free”? Like most brands, a large part of the mobile VoIP software’s popularity is in its very name. However, it isn't much of a charge, but still an annoyance to those who are stindgy with their money, like I am. Dang that $15 a year fee :P

re: Skype, A Modern Power Word

Oh, I wish skype didn't start charging us $15/$20 per year. I'm such a stindge lately with my money. It was so convienent using that program to call my parents for 30 seconds telling them to "call me back at my apartment" and hang up. I guess it's still a pretty awesome deal, considering the prices of other companies. $30+ a month for long distance fees. Bah!

My favorite thing about Skype was calling a houseline. Googletalk it is.

Skype Creators to Launch Internet TV Service, Joost

Skype and Kazaa Creators Niklas Zennstrom and Janus Friis will launch what they call: “The worlds first...

links for 2007-01-15 - blog - James Cridland

PingBack from http://james.cridland.net/blog/2007/01/15/links-for-2007-01-15/
