Software and movie piracy is rampant. There's a section of the major Moscow electronics market, Gorbushkin Dvor, which is dedicated to real, physical discs of movies (~$5-7) often before they'd be out on DVD in the US (I was there in June and could have bought "Lyudie X Tri" or "X-Men Three"), CDs (~$3-5), and software. Software prices range heavily, from $5 for the cheap stuff to $12-15 for something like Adobe Creative Suite 2. Of course, you can only pay in Russian Rubles to avoid falling afoul of the law.
Basically what I'm trying to say is killing Allofmp3 is futile, partially because it is often more expensive than buying a real CD from a vendor in your local metro station (in a booth, licensed by the city), and partially because there are worse offenders.

re: AllofMP3 on Life Support

Corrected and thank you. AllofMp3 has nothing to do with file sharing, but the facts in the story remain correct and verifyable.

Whether or not allofMP3 constitutes piracy is a grey area, I personally would not call it piracy. It's just using global commerce the way it meant to be used.

So, digg it man!

Prime News Blog » Blog Archive » AllofMP3 on Life Support

PingBack from http://www.primenewsblog.com/2006/12/04/allofmp3-on-life-support/

MusoTalk>der Music & Soundproduction Podcast » Blog Archive » MusoTalk 42 - Nachrichten-TopTen vom 6.12.06

PingBack from http://musotalk.de/archives/87

BitTorrent Swallows Up uTorrent

The official BitTorrent protocol acquired the rights to uTorrent late last week, giving the original program many unique abilities.

re: AllofMP3 on Life Support

not only allofmp3
u can check: http://www.mp3ninja.com , http://www.mp3sugar.com
re: AllofMP3 on Life Support

if it is legal to manufacture goods internationally to skirt pesky labor laws and organized unions, then shouldn't it also be legal to distribute data internationally to avoid pesky copyright laws?

AllofMP3 Responds to RIAA Lawsuit

Defenders of AllofMP3.com argue that no comparison with Limewire and the like can be made, and that’s exactly what AllofMP3 is now officially telling the press, in an attempt to justify its maintained operations.

re: AllofMP3 on Life Support

 KIERO MUSICA EN MP3
re: AllofMP3 on Life Support

quiero musica de los años 90
