How do you figure the PS2 is old and decrepit? Although the next-gen battle is underway, PS2 is by far not down and out. It will take many months (if not 1-2 years) for these next-gen consoles to gain sufficient market penetration to eclipse the current-gen. And we shouldn't forget that the PS2 has out-sold the xBox 360 this holiday season. Yes, Sony is having a pretty bad time with their PS3 launch numbers, but the PS2 is still pumping out titles. Old system? Maybe. But far from decrepit.

Is playing these things more fun than playing a real guitar? I just don't see how it could come close to the real thing.

My 3 year-old cousin has a plastic guitar with a few buttons on it that each make a different musical sound...

Try playing Xbox 360 or Sony Playstation 3. Then return to PS2. Decrepit sounds pretty accurate to me, regardless of sales.

Personally, I still play my Coleco Football game. Pushing LEDs and scoring touchdowns - yeah baby!
